We are pleased to offer a new maternity benefit designed to
provide our members with additional education during their pregnancies. This program is
intended to complement the care your patient is receiving from you and is offered to all
eligible pregnant members at no out-of-pocket expense.
As a participant in this program, your patients will receive
the following:
Confidential pregnancy risk assessments used to determine if there are
any significant risk factors present, and also used to allow us to customize educational
materials to specifically meet your patient’s needs. You will receive a report documenting
the information that your patient shared with us.
Verbal education regarding the importance of good prenatal care and
maintaining a healthy pregnancy.
A personalized OB newsletter customized to your patient’s specific
pregnancy interests and gestational age.
Toll-free access to our 24-hour, 7-days-a-week, BabyLine. This pregnancy
information line is staffed by experienced obstetrical nurses and is available through six
weeks postpartum.
The program has an ongoing process to review significant new findings. Each
year the program updates its guidelines to the most current recommendations as published by
the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) and others. These guidelines may be
viewed on this site.
